The contact core design allows the core wire to have better contact with the bridge and soundboard, creating our brightest string. The end result is a richer and more defined bass tone with piano-like clarity.
Considered our most brilliant string, the Contact Core features a specially tempered 80/20 copper-zinc alloy cover wire with our unique contact core design. This process leaves bare wire near the ball end of the the string to further resonate and continue to brighten the string's tone.
