Bassics BPA-1 PREAMP
A completely new approach to bass guitar amplification. For too long, the bass guitarist has been teh poor relation when it comes to controls specifically designed for his instrument
All of that changes with the BPA-1! Designed by legendary recording engineer and professional studio equipment designer, professor Malcolm Toft, it essentially places studio quality pre-amplification, tone control and compression at the feet of the bass guitarist. For example, the frequencies chosen in the three band equaliser section have been specifically designed for the bass guitar and offer the same range of control as that found in the very best studio consoles. Ever wondered why studio engineers are able to get great sounds from your instrument when recording? Wonder no more as you will have the same facilities!
Part of the exciting new Bassics product lineup, the BPA-1 Bass Preamp delivers with another design by the legendary UK engineer and pro studio equipment designer Malcolm Toft. From filling first engineer recording duties for the likes of David Bowie, T-Rex and James Taylor, to engineering The Beatles’ “Hey Jude”, Toft brings the goods in a bass preamp that places studio quality tone control and compression at the feet of the bass player. The carefully chosen sweepable frequencies in the BPA-1 three band equalizer section offer a range of control typically found only in the ultimate studio consoles operated by the world’s best studio engineers.
Other features include two separate inputs with volume controls, pre- and post-EQ direct outs, as well as an effects loop. With the BPA-1 you no longer need any of the controls on the amplifier head; all you need is a power amplifier and speaker.
